fbFaces by Joern Roeder and Jonathan Pirnay

An astounding project by Joern Roeder and Jonathan Pirnay.  They are students at Germany’s University of Visual Arts and Design.

The project is actually an internet crawler, which takes any Facebook profile and grabs the publicly accessible information, and continues on to that users friends, and so on.  It reveals how much data is actually available.  It points to the massive amount of data privacy issues on the internet today, thanks to titans of tech like Google and Facebook.

The images are then processed and printed out to create wallpaper for the room.  It’s almost overwhelming when you see it all printed out at once.
