10,000 Pixels at Art Micro Patronage

10,000 Pixels

“10,000 Pixels” an ongoing exhibit being shown at the  Art Micro Patronage, which is a somewhat unorthodox “online exhibition space” which works to curate different shows on a regular basis (monthly), and features art and artists with a focus on the digital medium.  The site promotes micro-donations to support the featured artists, which is a great way to take advantage of technology to support artists and fight back against the cheapening of art online.

Another amazing part of this show is its criteria.  Artists were given a maximum limit on the number of pixels they could use to create their art (i.e. 10,000 pixels).   Creativity can sometimes be the child of scarcity, and this is an exhibition of that.
