Jessica Eaton

Think these are digital photos skewed within Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator? Think again…
Jessica uses brilliant techniques that are analog based, NOT digital.
Some of the types of film based techniques include multiple exposures, in-camera masking, color separation filters, and dark slides.
She uses 4×5 film sheets, and adeptly manipulates those basic properties of light, showing us milennials that old school film techniques can make some of the same abstract effects as digital manipulation techniques.
As Eaton says herself:

“I often set up parameters for phenomena to express itself. In the best of cases I push things so that the response comes in ways that I could not have thought up until I was shown it on film. Once you get to see or experience something you can use it. Then you can use it to see something else.”
