This stop motion animation project by London designer Nicos Livesay is totally far out, man. The wildly colorful models are made of plasticine, and then “sliced” like a loaf to reveal the patterns underneath. Each from of the stop motion is another slice. Really cool!
The colors, man, the colors!
I really like this, the fact that it molds together these crazy structures and then uses a knife to reveal a tiny bit of the complexity beneath, one bit at a time. It’s like re-purposing the value of the model over and over again. Cool!
